  • After four feet of floodwater ripped down the walls of the Blinson home in Titusville, the family lived on the second floor while repairs continued.   • On Nov. 20, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from its launch pad on the Space Coast to mark Florida's 100th orbital launch of 2025.  Florida Today
  • SpaceX launched 29 Starlink satellites from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A on Thursday using a Falcon 9 booster that later landed on the droneship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic—marking a key step in its plan to boost global broadband service. This reusable booster has flown 23 missions including crewed and scientific flights as it supports SpaceX’s busy 2025 launch schedule.  Space Coast Daily
  • Many local grocery stores will be closed on Thanksgiving so shoppers must plan ahead; Fresh Market will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sprouts from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Whole Foods from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.—other stores will resume normal or early Black Friday hours.  Florida Today

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rockledge High School will hold its 2025 Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Rockledge Country Club—seven inductees and one team, including a legendary football coach and a state championship baseball team, will be honored, and tickets cost $50.  Florida Today
  • Melbourne High School will launch the Health First Healthcare Academy this fall— a four-year program that offers students hands-on healthcare training and industry certifications— in partnership with Brevard Public Schools. Health First and school leaders say the academy will provide students with a clear path to jobs in hospitals and care centers.  Space Coast Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, five Brevard County high school football teams play in the FHSAA regional semifinals—Merritt Island and Eau Gallie face off in a rematch after Merritt Island beat Eau Gallie 48-22 on Nov. 4 while Cocoa, Melbourne Central Catholic, and Viera play away games.  Florida Today
