  • Florida stores will have holiday hours for Thanksgiving with Bravo Supermarkets (7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.), The Fresh Market (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Sprouts (7 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and most CVS and Whole Foods on modified schedules while Publix, Walmart, and others remain closed.  Florida Today

CRIME NEWS

  • Anna Marie Kepner, an 18-year-old from Titusville who died on Carnival Horizon on Nov. 7, is under FBI investigation that may lead to charges against a minor—her family will hold a celebration of her life today at 5:00 p.m. at The Grove Church.  Florida Today
  • A funeral for 18-year-old Anna Kepner, a Titusville teen who died on a Carnival cruise, is held today in Titusville—her family asks that flowers be left on her car at school in lieu of traditional tributes while the FBI investigates her death and a minor may soon face charges.  FOX 35 Orlando

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra will present Jingle: The Big Band Holiday Spectacular at 2 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the Satellite High School Performing Arts Center — guest vocalist Kim Reteguiz will lead a festive set of classic carols.  Space Coast Daily
  • Palm Bay Florida Pageant crowned three new titleholders — Colleen Jamieson as Mrs., Karina Jaikaran as Miss, and Myah Sokey as Miss Teen — at the Yellow Dog Café on Nov. 9, with Mayor Rob Medina recognizing them as servant leaders in the community. Jamieson supports pediatric illness care, Jaikaran promotes children’s sports participation, and Sokey advocates environmental protection, and they will serve as Grand Marshals at the Holiday Light Parade in December.  Hometown News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Retired U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral Wayne Justice, known for his 37 years of service and 11 years as a Port Canaveral commissioner—three times as chairman—died peacefully on November 8 at Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. A private memorial will be held on December 16 followed by a full military honors burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims.  Space Coast Daily
