- ➤ The National Hurricane Center is tracking Invest 98L—a tropical wave moving at 20 to 25 mph in the eastern Caribbean that will likely become a tropical depression by mid-week. If it strengthens to tropical storm level, it may bring impacts to Florida later this week as its path remains uncertain. Florida Today
- ➤ NASA said the Orionid meteor shower will peak on Oct. 21 under a new moon—allowing Palm Bay residents to see roughly 20 meteors an hour. People will watch from just before midnight until about 2 a.m., facing southeast to view the shooting stars. Florida Today
