Hundreds of families affected by Alzheimer’s gathered Saturday at Cocoa Riverfront Park for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Space Coast — participants raised over $135,000 for care, research, and advocacy.
The event highlighted local efforts to support those impacted by the disease.

The Palm Bay 28th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade presented by UTB United Third Bridge Inc. took place and was followed by a multicultural festival.
Residents enjoyed music and dance while the event celebrated Puerto Rican heritage + brought together community members to share local traditions.
Chaplain Zack Parker, a Merritt Island native and US Navy officer, delivered an October message that urged faith, hope, and patriotism—sharing how community support helped him through personal loss and challenging times.
He drew on his military service and local roots to remind Palm Bay readers that love and service can bring people together during hardship.
