CRIME NEWS

  • A Brevard County grand jury indicted two men on first-degree murder charges for allegedly selling fentanyl that led to fatal overdoses—one case involved Robert Whalen in Palm Bay on April 30 and another involved Wade Drummond in November; both suspects have been booked into jail and may face life in prison if convicted.  Florida Today
  • Brevard County deputies arrested Gabriel Serrano in Viera after he threatened to kill police officers on Facebook — he had fled a traffic stop following a road-rage incident.  Space Coast Daily
  • Today in Viera, the trial of Erica Dotson continues as she faces first-degree felony murder and child abuse charges for the death of her three-year-old son—police say he suffered weeks of abuse before dying in 2021—with more witnesses set to testify.  FOX 35 Orlando
