Ron DeSantis announced that the Crane Creek/M-1 Canal Flow Restoration Project was completed on Aug. 11 to improve water quality in Brevard County by restoring natural flow and reducing nutrient pollution—state officials noted the project installed a weir, pump stations, a pipeline and a stormwater treatment area to keep 24,000 pounds of nitrogen and 3,100 pounds of phosphorus out of the lagoon.
