  • Molly, a small Cairn terrier mix rescued by Five Friends Animal Rescue, suffered years of untreated ear pain before she received a total ear canal ablation on Aug. 5 and began healing with her new family.   • The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida held a back-to-school bash in Cocoa that showcased its programs and launched the Back the Bus campaign to fund a newly acquired school bus for reliable transportation—sponsored by local groups and community leaders.   • Today, Florida's new Commissioner of Education, Anastasios (Stasi) Kamoutsas, visited Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne to start his statewide tour.   • Florida Tech’s campus in Melbourne buzzed on Saturday as hundreds of first-year and transfer students arrived for a drive through check in, with President Nicklow and officials helping unload belongings.
