- ➤ Three high schools in the Sunshine State Athletic Association began football practice in the first week as they prepare for season openers in two weeks—Satellite started on July 31 with coach Dan Burke returning from retirement, Bayside held morning practices to beat the heat, and Space Coast practiced on Aug. 1 to defend its state title.
