- ➤ The city of Palm Bay began construction on a safety fence around the new inclusive playground at Fred Poppe Regional Park on July 9—All-Rite Fence Services is building the fence to protect children from nearby ponds. Florida Today
- ➤ The City of Palm Bay Public Works Department announced temporary road and lane closures as contractors from Florida Power & Light and a paving unit work on utility construction and paving projects. Gerona Street SE is closed with a detour from July 10 until July 17, Paigo Street SE is closed from July 8 until July 15, and Community College Parkway is closed daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.—motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
