- ➤ Breovard County's Ocean Rescue reported 24 rescues over a busy Memorial Day weekend as lifeguard vacancies left gaps in beach safety. Commissioner Thad Altman said a budget boost would be needed and asked if local municipalities should contribute more, inviting Space Coast residents to share their thoughts. Florida Today
- ➤ Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Michael DeMorat and the reappointment of Bruce Deardoff and Dr. Edgar Figueroa to the Eastern Florida State College District Board of Trustees. The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. Space Coast Daily
