  • Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket exploded during a static fire test at Cape Canaveral on May 28 & no injuries were reported, delaying the planned launch of Amazon Leo internet satellites from Launch Complex 36 on June 4.  Florida Today

  • SpaceX will launch 29 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40 at 7:52 a.m. today. The Falcon 9's booster, reused from eight previous missions, will aim for a landing on the droneship (A Shortfall of Gravitas).  FOX 35 Orlando

  • Brevard County has become a busy hub for commercial spaceflight as companies like SpaceX, NASA, Blue Origin, United Launch Alliance, Relativity Space, Astra and Stoke Space plan launches that shake windows and light up the night sky.   • NASA officially swore in Matt Anderson as its 16th deputy administrator on Thursday, May 28 at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington — a move meant to strengthen Artemis missions on the Space Coast.  Hometown News

  • Brevard County prep baseball and softball stars played the FACA All-Star Classic at Stetson University and DeLand’s Patricia Wilson Stadium May 27-29, with top athletes like Brock Lustic, Gabriel Gonzalez-Bonne, Cole Carroll, Elena Rollen, and Ainsley O’Dell set to join college teams while local coaches led from the field.  Space Coast Daily
