  • Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity’s Brevard’s Got Talent is set to take place Saturday, June 6 at the Florida Tech Clemente Center in Melbourne.   • Local free events this weekend include a patriotic concert at Suntree United Methodist Church on May 17, treats at Palm Bay City Hall on May 15, and a fest in downtown Cocoa Beach.   • Brevard high schools reported that 75% of seniors earned a College and Career Acceleration designation in the 2024-2025 school year, showing a strong effort by district leaders to help each student reach a credentialed path (the record improvement marks a major milestone). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In Palm Bay, a $158 red-light camera ticket that goes unpaid for (60 days) will escalate to a $262 citation with added court fees and may add points to your driving record; residents are advised to either pay or contest the notice promptly.  Florida Today
  • NASA-SpaceX resupply mission was scrubbed Wednesday due to anvil clouds and is now set to launch at 6:05 p.m. Friday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, delaying cargo refresh for the International Space Station (ISS).  Florida Today

  • Health First and Parrish Healthcare recently formed a stroke network to improve care coordination at all four Health First hospitals and Parrish Medical Center in Brevard County, aiming to reduce treatment delays+improve recovery outcomes during National Stroke Awareness Month.  Florida Today
