  • Voters in Palm Bay can register or update their records at any county office — VoteBrevard.gov by 5 p.m. Monday, May 12 for the Special General Election held on Tuesday, June 10. Voters who choose to vote by mail must request their ballot by 5 p.m. May 29.  Space Coast Daily

Latella, former CEO of Garden Fresh Gourmet, has been named the new chief executive officer of the United States Specialty Sports Association based in Viera — he will focus on modernizing operations, enhancing the athlete and family experience, and growing the multi‑sport group. The association sanctions over 35,000 events for 4.5 million participants across 47 states.  Florida Today
  • Brevard County high school baseball from May 7—10 saw Viera win 3—1 over Bloomingdale with three runs scored in the third inning and game two played on May 8. In softball, Miami Christian topped Merritt Island Christian 18—1, MCC beat Windermere Prep 12—1, South Sumter defeated Astronaut 8—1, and Eau Gallie won 11—0 while Lake Wales beat Rockledge 8—2; next rounds are scheduled for May 13.  Florida Today
  • The 17th Annual Brevard County High School Breakfast of Champions Recognition Awards—sponsored by Health First and presented by Tom and Susie Wasdin—will be held on May 24 at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne where over 40 awards will be given to top student-athletes at 9 a.m. The Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame induction will take place on May 24 with a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. marking the first in-person induction since COVID-19.  Space Coast Daily
