- ➤ All Points Logistics secured a 64-acre NASA lease to build a 500,000 sqft spacecraft processing complex on Schwarz Road near Kennedy Parkway. Construction will start in the fall (with the first facility opening in late 2027) to support commercial, civil and national security missions. Florida Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ NASA's Pegasus barge delivered the Artemis III core stage to Kennedy Space Center on April 27 & crews began offloading it into the Vehicle Assembly Building. The two-story barge, extended by 50 feet, completed its multi-week journey from Louisiana and will later return to transport another major space cargo. Florida Today
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Edgewood students initiated a peer-led project today to educate teens on eating disorders through interactive classroom presentations across local schools — motivated by personal experiences, they raised over $1,100 for the National Eating Disorders Association and won state competitions while preparing for an international contest. - ➤ Brevard County high school sports will feature softball contests on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 that include matchups like Seabreeze at Eau Gallie and football scrimmages on May 8 at Holy Trinity and Astronaut. Florida Today
