Fire crews in Palm Bay reached 100% containment for nine brush fires at The Compound just before 11 p.m. on April 28 (the cause is under investigation).

Port Canaveral has been selected to receive a $20.21 million federal grant to upgrade its North Cargo Berths 1 and 2 that serve tanker vessels for Central Florida’s transportation system.

The design phase is underway and construction will begin early 2027 to extend berth life by up to 30 years.
