  • Publix will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 20, as the chain shuts its more than 870 Florida stores on three major holidays to give its 255,000+ employees time with family. Stores normally open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m., with some locations staying open an extra hour to meet regular demand.  Florida Today

  • Jeff Abramowski was released on $50,000 bond from Brevard County jail on April 18th after his murder conviction was vacated following new DNA tests that excluded him from the charges+ he thanked his attorney after 23 years of incarceration while the state prepares to retry him.  Florida Today
