- ➤ Palm Bay Police arrested Broward County suspect Vital Joseph on April 12 at 7:45 p.m. near Cumberland Farms — his vehicle was flagged by the FLOCK camera system — and he now faces charges for 1st Degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Burglary with Battery. Space Coast Daily

- ➤ Saturn Elementary teacher Karly Anderson was removed from her classroom after school officials watched a police body camera video from a January house party that showed her swearing and acting out while she was allegedly drunk — the state attorney cleared her of felony charges — and an internal investigation is now underway. - ➤ Alligator mating season is now and has made the animals more active, which means people may see them more often in outdoor areas. - ➤ Gov. Ron DeSantis signed bills HB 575 and HB 549 to change all state laws and public school textbooks from Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America—making Florida the first state to adopt the new name.
