- ➤ Melby, a rescued juvenile manatee, was released back into Florida waters on April 10 after being freed from a storm drain at Melbourne Beach. A crowd of 100+ gathered at Ballard Park to send him off with signs, cheers + a heartfelt farewell captured in a touching photo. Florida Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to launch a Northrop Grumman Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft carrying 11,000 pounds of supplies to the International Space Station today from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station — a sonic boom will follow as the booster returns nearby. - ➤ NASA astronauts Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy completed a record-setting 10-day mission around the Moon and safely splashed down off San Diego on Friday, beginning routine checks on the USS John P. Murtha; they will travel to Houston for further evaluation later today. Space Coast Daily
