  • NASA’s Artemis II crew, which includes the first Black man, the first woman and the first Canadian on a moon mission, will launch at 6:24 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 from the Space Coast. The four astronauts will spend 10 days orbiting the moon (making history) before returning home.  Florida Today

  • A longtime Titusville resident recalls watching Apollo 11 and Apollo 17 launch over 50 years ago, drawing nearly one million spectators, and he now anticipates tomorrow’s Artemis II launch as local excitement builds.  Florida Today

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Florida's gas price averaged nearly $4 a gallon on Monday, up over $1 since the Iran war began on Feb. 28 — experts warn that production cuts and damaged facilities may keep prices high for months, with diesel prices rising nearly $2 in the same period.  Florida Today

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Community leaders and education advocates will gather this Friday, April 3, at Manatee Cove Golf Course for the Brevard Schools Foundation’s 30th Annual Golf Invitational. Driving range access opens at (6:30 a.m.) with registration at 7 a.m. before an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start and a luncheon with an awards ceremony.  Space Coast Daily

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Yesterday, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Gulf at 2:22 a.m. off Cape Coral, and officials confirmed that no tremors were felt in Palm Bay.  Florida Today

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health First oncologist Dr. Ashish Dalal hiked the challenging Patagonia O Trek in the remote Torres del Paine National Park. The nine-day trek tested his endurance, discipline (with extreme weather and rugged terrain) and sparked plans for new adventures.  Space Coast Daily

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • February housing data shows that the market is shifting in Brevard County as single-family sales dipped while condo sales surged along the coast. Analyst Bobby Freeman said rising pending sales and fewer listings signal strong buyer demand and a more selective approach to pricing.  Space Coast Daily
