- ➤ Eid al-Fitr, the festival marking the end of Ramadan, is set to be celebrated on Wednesday, March 18 or Thursday, March 19 pending the sighting of the Shawwal moon (confirmation from Saudi moon spotters is expected) and will signal a time of renewal for local community members. Florida Today
- ➤ Brevard Zoo launches Illumi-Nature today featuring over 1,000 illuminated sculptures that will light up the zoo at night until May 10. Florida Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ NASA held a briefing on March 12 at Kennedy Space Center (Florida) to update the Artemis 2 mission status after repairs to its SLS rocket delayed the launch. The update explained that the crewed Orion flight, carrying four astronauts, is now scheduled to launch as early as April 1. Florida Today

- ➤ Parrish Medical Center opened a new on-site retail pharmacy in partnership with PharmD on Demand at 951 North Washington Avenue in Titusville, offering drive-up pickup, extended weekday hours and a Pharmacy Bedside Care Program to deliver medications before discharge. Florida Today
