  • The Palm Bay Fair will run March 12-29 at the Space Coast Harley-Davidson Fairgrounds, offering rides, games, food stands and free shows along with a petting zoo.   • The fuzzy baby sandhill cranes, called colts, will soon follow their parents across local roads as they search for food this spring. Wildlife experts advise drivers to be alert for these protected birds crossing unexpectedly in Palm Bay.  Florida Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 5, Palm Bay City Council designated the city as Brevard’s first Purple Heart City to honor veterans wounded or killed in combat. The resolution calls for a commemorative plaque at City Hall (to visibly acknowledge their sacrifice) and signage along designated roadways.  Space Coast Daily

  • Today, Palm Bay residents face record high temperatures while experts advise setting AC units to the highest comfortable temperature (often 78 degrees) to lower bills and reduce strain on systems through regular filter changes and other energy-saving tips.  Florida Today
