  • Brevard Achievement Center promoted several staff members today, including Sarah Emerson as ETS director, while the Community Foundation for Brevard welcomed new board members + Parrish Medical Center’s Robin Starkweather received the 2025 Outstanding Community Impact Award from ACHE.  Florida Today
  • This weekend, free events include Pioneer Day on Feb. 7 in Merritt Island with history displays, live concerts in Suntree and Cocoa Beach, and First Friday gatherings in Wickham Park and Eau Gallie.   • Rayvel Holographics will open its global headquarters and HoloCenter South Hologram Museum with a daylong public celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 24. The venue at 404 E.   • Yum! Brands announced Pizza Hut will close 250 underperforming locations in the first half of 2026 as part of its Hut Forward plan. The company did not specify if any Florida restaurants will be affected, leaving local diners to watch for changes & adjust their dining choices.  Florida Today

  • Florida does not require all dogs to be leashed statewide; Palm Bay residents should check local ordinances since pet owners remain liable for injuries their animals cause. Keeping dogs under control is a wise practice & helps maintain community safety.  Florida Today
