- ➤ A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch 29 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Wednesday, Feb. 4 beginning at 4:46 p.m. Weather permitting, residents in Brevard and along local beaches may see the event in the evening. Florida Today

- ➤ Palm Bay firefighters battled a brush fire near I-95 that forced closure of both lanes from Malabar Road to St. Johns Heritage Parkway at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, and motorists were urged to take alternate routes until visibility improved. Florida Today

- ➤ NASA has delayed the Artemis II moon mission to March after a wet dress rehearsal at Kennedy Space Center revealed liquid hydrogen leaks. Four astronauts scheduled for the first crewed flight in 50 years will undergo further tests (a news conference is set for 1 p.m. today). FOX 35 Orlando
- ➤ Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited Kennedy Space Center and Blue Origin’s Merritt Island facility Monday as part of his (Arsenal of Freedom) tour to highlight local aerospace production and foster government-private industry cooperation on the Space Coast. Space Coast Daily
- ➤ New federal SNAP restrictions cutting benefits by $186 billion took effect on Feb. 1 and expand work requirements while shifting up to 15% of costs to states, which means Florida could face nearly $1.6 billion in added expenses for its 2.9 million recipients. Florida Today
