- ➤ The DEP will hold an open house meeting for Blue Origin’s wastewater permit renewal from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the UF/IFAS Extension auditorium (3695 Lake Drive in west Cocoa), allowing residents to speak with experts despite county objections. Florida Today
- ➤ Florida law prohibits drivers from wearing headphones except for law enforcement, motorcyclists, or those using a single earbud for communication (penalties include fines and license points). The rule aims to cut distracted driving that has led to many crashes. Florida Today
